Source Report

 

What is it?

The source report is the original Crystal report you want to translate. This product allows you to open reports created using Crystal Report version 7, 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 and VS .Net 2002-2003-2005

This product allows you to open one source report at a time but translate it in several languages simultaneously with the Professional and Enterprise edition.

 

Open

Before you can open the source report you want to translate, you need to open or create a TM database. To open the source report you want to translate do the following:

  1. Go to the menu File\Open source report… or press Ctrl+R


    or press the toolbar button

  2. Browse the location where the report is, select the report and press "Open"

Reopen

To reopen quickly a source report you previously created or opened,

Go to the menu File\Reopen source report, this will open a menu on the right hand side with the last 10 source reports you opened on this computer, select the one you want to open:

Remember that before you can open the source report you want to translate, you need to open or create a TM database.

 

Drag and drop

If a TM is opened and no source report is currently opened, you can drag and drop a report (.rpt) file directly from Windows Explorer to Crystal Translator main window:

Right click on a report in Windows Explorer, and hold down the right mouse button while moving/dragging the mouse cursor to the Crystal Translator Window until you see the following cursor:

Then release the right mouse button to drop the report file into Crystal Translator. The software will then immediately open the file you dropped.
